Kirk serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Marine Claims Consultant in Lockton’s Marine Practice based in Lockton Northeast’s New York City office. In this leadership role, Kirk plays an essential part in guiding Lockton’s industry-leading marine claims advocacy team. Leveraging over three decades of deep technical expertise and operational insight, he collaborates closely with brokers and clients to deliver strategic claims coordination, comprehensive analysis, and best-in-class guidance on claims practices and procedures.
Kirk is instrumental in cultivating strong partnerships with insurers to drive optimal claims outcomes. He also leads the resolution of some of Lockton’s most complex Marine claims, ensuring precision, efficiency, and client-focused results.
With over 35 years of experience in marine transportation and logistics, Kirk’s career
includes distinguished service as a U.S. Army Transportation Officer and holding a U.S. Coast Guard Unlimited Ship’s Officer’s License. He spent over a decade as a marine surveyor across the Far East and the United States before transitioning into risk control leadership roles with several major insurers, where he managed marine, specialty, and middle market risk control teams.
