Joanie Diaz Fagan

Joanie is an Inland Marine technical manager based in the Atlanta office of Allianz Commercial. Joanie is responsible for all Inland Marine loss control activities in North America as well as the technical manager in the Inland Marine products and services inclusive of training. Joanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez Campus and an Engineer-in-Training license from the State of Georgia. She is an active member of the pharmaceutical section and loss prevention symposium division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers as well as a member of the National Fire Protection Association and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Joanie started her career in 1990 as a loss control consultant with Factory Mutual. She then joined Yasuda Fire & Marine as an account engineer in 1994. She has provided HPR training engineering in the US, Brazil, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean. In 1995, she joined Allianz Risk Consultants as a senior account engineer.

In 2022 Joanie was most deservingly recognized by Insurance Business Of America Elite Women Award, recognizing women who lean in to further improve the conditions of women in insurance
