IMUA Modifies Operating Model to Enhance Member Value

Based on input from IMUA members over the past few years, at the May 2014 meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously approved fundamental changes in IMUA's operating model as outlined below.

1.        MEMBER ONLY PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS

IMUA services will now only be available to members.  For the past several years, we have made our products and services available to nonmembers at a price differential.  To enhance the benefits of being a member of the IMUA, we are now limiting access to our valued programming and events to member companies, associate members and agents/brokers.   

2.        AGENTS AND BROKERS

IMUA is seeking to attract more agents and brokers to participate in association activities. To encourage their involvement, IMUA is allowing agents and brokers access to IMUA services at member pricing while waiving any annual assessment/dues for a trial membership period.

3.        PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

For insurance companies that have not previously been IMUA members, the IMUA will offer a complimentary 12-month trial membership!  We are confident that access to our members-only website, regional seminar, annual meeting and committee interaction will convince them to join after the 12-month trial.
